Default 95 3.4 Oil pump drive shaft issue

I'm having some issues with the oil pump shaft and was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on the matter. I bought a 95 camaro for my wife recently and have been going through taking care of little things here and there on it, one of which being a nasty oil leak coming from the oil pump drive shaft. I have the upper intake removed and got the 15mm bolt off where the retainer is, but the shaft itself will nut come out. it rotates completely without and effort, but will not lift up for anything. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

o ring is probably hard. need to get a hold of it or get something under it to put some up pressure on it as you turn it. without harming it.

Yeah I tried putting a folded cloth over it and using some pliers to pull it up without damaging it at all, but it wouldn't budge. I can't get enough of a gap to pry it off unfortunately.
