Default Removing The wheel problem

Good day.

I need little help with my -96 3.8 camaro

I have Turn signal problem and and i am changing the Switch. My problem is that i can't figure how to remove the metal plate between Wheel and the plastic cover with yellow inside and black ring. Found some manual for Switch replacing but the car in pic doesn't have that plate.

Also i tried search web and this forum without succes.

That guide shows the proceedure pretty well. There may be a couple of minor differences but the steps are just about the same.

You really dont want to mess with the airbag coil once it is out of the column. it is an expensive part to replace. Follow the directions given about how to handle it.

Thanks for replies. Thats actually the guide im following. Problem is that this car doesn't have the metal plate over the yellow part in pic 12 for example.

Guess its for when you remove the wheel since you really can't screw those bolts against plastic. Ill take picture tomorrow.

Might be its just bit rusted and such if they have had not remove the wheel before. But i have tried most that have came into my mind to remove it :P
