Default Rattling noise in the rear end

I have this constant noise in the rear passenger end. Im pretty sure its a shock/strut out. Which one is it, and how do I check if this is the problem? My 'maro is a 94 3.4 v6.

Thanks.

shocks on back. your going to have to get under there and start moving stuff around and taping on it to see if you can make the noise. is it effecting the way the car moves like jerking or such?

Nothing loose in the rear like the spare tire, jack or anything? What about the exhaust hangers?

I had that happen to me, but i would describe the noise more as a squeek, it was the spare tire loose. just tighten up the wing nut and it goes away. Might wanna check that first before you get too serious.
