Default ram air hood

im pretty new to cars and working on them. i have a 2000 3.8L camaro with flowmaster dual exhaust and k&n intake. i was wondering if a ram air hood would make any hp or gas mileage improvements in combination with my intake. anyone know?

If you hook the hood up, you may see a very small power increase. But otherwise, it'll just blow air around in the engine compartment (which has some benifits too). The only thing I don't like about ram air hoods, is the water factor. Apparently they're a pain in the rain.

You will not see or feel any measureable gains with a ram air hood, they are jsut for looks.

what headers did you get? pacesetter mid tube? those are the only ones i can find of good quality. if i buy headerd, do i need to get a midpipe at the same time cuz i already have the flowmaster catback exhaust?
