Default radiator hose hot and puffy

Hey guys i have a 94 v6'r and i have a little problem, well to me it seems like a problem. The radiator hose, the one that connects to the housing of the thermostat. Well that hose getts really hot and and it gets puffy, like if its going to blow up any minute, it gets like thise just right were the clamp connects to the thermostat housing. Any idea what can be causing this problem.

sounds like you need a thermostat, it may not be opening properly and building pressure in that tube.

Would be a good idea to change out the hose before it lets go. Good hoses do not swell up.

Antifreeze in there too long will eat away at the hose from the inside out. While it's off, you might as well check the thermostat.

Is your radiator cap working? Does the level of coolant change in the resivour and does it get warm? It may be stuck and pressure is building up in the system.

50/50 mix water and coolant. Check the capacity of your system and use half for the amount of coolant. Your cap might be stuck. Your hoses may be rotted also. Are they soft when they are cool? It does not hurt to change the cap. t-stat, and hoses and they should not be that expensive at an Autozone.
