Is the defrost or A/C on when this happens? What does the temp gauge show?

No the A/C or defrost is not on and the temp gauge is at cold.it does not matter when I start the car even after sitting overnight as soon as I start the car the fans start running.

How about the temp gauge, does it always sit low? Only reason I ask, is there is one temp sending unit.

So this is a new issue that just started not something that has been going on since you have had the car.

You might try the temp sending unit. That or a relay is at fault. But if both your fans and temp gauge are not working, I would suspect the temp sending unit as you had stated. If you are unsure of where it is, it's location is under the "neck" of the intake manifold.

Yeah,That's what I was thinking so I changed it about an hour ago and when I started the car the fans did not run,but I forgot to put thread tape on so I took it out put the tape on hooked it back up and the fan started running again.so I think I either have some tape touching the sensor or there is a short in the wire I have to let it cool back down to se whats up.thanks for all the help.
