Default Quick Exhaust Question!

I Was Wonder What Would Sound Better. If I Left My Tail Pipe Alone Where It's Ran Out The Side. Or If I Cut It Off And Dumped It. It's a 97 3.8, With Hollowed Cat. Which Would Sound Better? Louder? Deeper? There Is A Vid Of My Car Now. It Has Super 44 Flowmaster. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjUVxs0XKkw Name: CamaroTint3-3.jpg

5% Tint. Spectre Air Intake System. Super 44 Flowmaster.

i wouldnt cut off the pipe and dump it on the v6, it wont sound too good, just loud and poppy. i recently removed my cat from my car cuz it was falling apart inside, but replaced it after a few weeeks because it sounded bad and smelt funny...i would keep it out the back, maybe not even to the side

If you are going to do something, put in a cutout in the location where the Borla Cat-Back has the restrictor plates, then at least you get adjustable sound! See:

This is true, however insurance is pricey for V8's... Especially when you're 18 like me.

my insurance would be cheaper with V8, Because my car is convertible they say it is high high risk. and with me being 19 and having one driving violation im already high risk. it sucks, they said a Z28 hardtop would be Wayy cheaper lol, but cant afford to buy a V8 lol.

I could have bought a V8 at the time. I hate convertibles so that wouldn't be an issue for me. However, I wouldn't mind having t-tops My insurance is like.... $127.50 a month for liability. They said the Z28 would be at least $175 a month. So a V6 it is lol

No kidding. I suggested modifying your FM pipe to become a cutout, like Borla's has -- obviously you can achieve the same adjustable sound result...
