Premature front tire wear.

Premature front tire wear.
Ok so I bought some used z-rated tires for my car about 4 months ago. The rears were perfect and the fronts had really bad wear on the inside bead of tread. I mean the inside bead of tread was completely bald. The rest of the tire's tread was brand new looking. So after driving 3000 miles I notice that my outer bead of tread is almost gone. Is this because the insides were wore down? Or because I need a front end alignment? Or what? The middle of the tires look brand new but the inners were bald when I bought them, and the outers are getting close to being bald. Any ideas? Also I take corners really fast lol. Would that have anything to do with it? Thanks in advance!

Your alignment guy could very well find some bad parts when he goes to do the job.
Prime candidates:
1) the LCA rear bushing is toast
2) the bolt that goes through that bushing is seized
3) the upper control arm bushings are shot and loose

Underinflated tires can also cause very fast wear especally if you like to corner hard. Other culpirts for bad parts causing alignment issues are lower control arm bushings and upper or lower ball joints.
Remember with suspension it is a good idea to change out the oppisite side part as well so the car can have the same strength and wear on both left and right.
I try to tell my customers this all the time and most of the time they only change what they see is bad and end up costing themselves more money down the road in tires or second alignments because they didnt want to spend another $40 on the other side of their car.

Best advice would be to take it to a front end shop, get it aligned and if it needs some parts, as mentioned above, do both sides. And if you want to be real sure and safe, change out the front end bushings for safety measures.
But the situation sounds like an alignment issue.

Ok so I figured out why my front tires are all messed up. I'll start from the beginning...
I went to have my car inspected today. It failed. Turns out I needed a right side outer tie rod. They showed me why. They jacked my car up and without my steering wheel moving, my wheel had an inch of play going back and forth. Haha. Well that explains the tire wear and the vibration when I hit my brakes. So I went to the shop to get a quote on getting it fixed. they said $120 for parts and labor. I decided they could stick that up their *** and break it off sideways I went to AutoZone and bought my new tie rod for $17.99 and installed it myself with the help of a friend in 20 minutes. I turned a $120 job into a $19.28 job. My wheel no longer moves freely so tomorrow I'm going back to have it RE-inspected. Wish me luck!
