So is it possible to give the 3.8l an idle sound without open headers or no cat? I live in California so I can't do anything like that.. I just have my exhaust system (check sig) and I'm thinking of adding headers and a Y pipe but only if it adds an idle.

 

What do you mean idle sound? A mild cam will change it a little bit (more of a lope in the sound), and still beemissions legal. Headers will make it louder.
