wat could be wrong???
wat could be wrong???
i changed the subframe put the 3.4 transmission on the 3.8 bc they were the same and now it shifts the transmisson towards the passenger side to where i cant put the crossmember on with out getting it to move towards the driver side
so your doing a 3.8 to 3.8 change?
Why wouldnt you use the 3.8s tranny?
95 cars were predominantly 3.4's there were a few 95 cars with 3.8's but they were rare. They were only produced for california due to emissions.
I didnt think you could use the 3.4 trans with the 3.8. Someone else chime in, but Im pretty sure they arent compatible. Also, double check the trans crossmembers, they may be different also. To swap these motors you have to use the 3.8 engine, trans, 3.8 kmember and 3.8 motormounts.

3.4 has the same bolt pattern as the old 2.8. It is not the same as the 3.8 bolt pattern. About 5% of the V6's sold in 95 are 3.8's I have seen 3 come thru the auction here in PA in the last 12 months.
We have some conflicting info. If its a 3.8 it should be a boltin no problem if its a 3.4 it should not bolt up so i have no idea whats goin on.
When you say all the wiring out of the 95 I hope you mean everything. Your 95 PCM is not compatible with all your 96 sub systems because of the OBDII requirment that began for 96 model year.

well i got the car done and you have to use the 3.8 subframe and wiring harness out the dash but you can use the 3.4 tranny bc it bolts up to the 3.8 with no problem bc its usually the same transmission and i even used the 3.4 tranny crossmember
