Okay I might be going crazy but I was letting my car idle today and noticed the temp go from 160ish all the way up to 210 (then the radiator fan kicked in) and then went to being in between 210 and the other dash mark. Is this normal? When im cruising it stays at a little over 160.....

 

The fan operation is normal, the cruise temp is lower than normal. The stock t'stat is set to open at around 185. Your carprobably has anaftermarket 160 degree t'stat. To take advantage of the low temp t'stst, the PCM has to be reprogrammed to turn the fans on at lower temp. Otherwise, your car's cooling system is working fine, no need to mess with it.
