Default oil pressure ?

I was replacing my a/c compressor and I accidently broke the oil pressure regulator . I went to Autozone and got the part I needed. Nowmy gauge for oil is like 110 and once is warmed up or started driving for a while its at 90 . Is this normal ? Is this much pressure bad for my car ? Thanx in advance guys

You are getting a bad reading. Check your wire connections and insure you have every thing hooked up right.

you car is probably running terribly if that reading is true, but if not then it's probably a bad sensor

Oil pressure regulator? That is a spring and valve internal to the engine. Oil pressure sender, maybe. The wire to the sender may be grounded or the sender isbad.

First, make sure you didn't somehow ground the sensor wire out to anything.
Then go back to Auto Zone and make sure they gave you the correct oil sending unit. Even though every counter worker at Auto Zone has a degree in rocket science, one of them could have screwed up! It worked correctly before with the old sensor, it should work correctly now with a new one. If that doesn't do it, then get a different brand of sending unit from another (non Auto Zone) store.
