Default Oil change question

Im changing the oil for the first time in my 97 3.8 auto, (castrol gtx 10w-30)
Its not my first oil change or anything but are there any special systems or procedures that i need to be careful of?

Nope. Just drain the oil from the pan til it stops coming out then remove the oil filter (which is super easy on 3.8's). The only thing I do when changing oil is dipping my finger into the new oil and spreading it on the new oil filters o ring so it doesn't seize.

yes make sure you put the new oil on the filter gasket or it will grab and pull off the ring. This is really bad since all your oil will be pumped out of the car in less than a block. Then only tighten the filter 1/2 turn after the gasket makes contact with the filter mount.
