Your A/C clutch is worn and squeaking within itself as it's free-wheeling (A/C off).
With the A/C on, the clutch locks together, and the squeak will stop.
You can squirt a little oil between the outer pulley and inner hub, which should make the squeak go away. But, that's only a short-term fix, it'll be back.
