Needs some help here... 94 camaro V6. AC works well, but now i want the heater to work. Even with the dial cranked to the dead red only cold air comes out. Great in the summer but season change. is it the controls or the heater core.....plz help

yep its either the cable or the core. see if any of this helps. most times a flush of the core with the garden hose will do it.

Check the antifreeze level. Make sure it's full.

+1 on checking the antifreeze/coolant level.

And not in the recovery bottle, but in the radiator *when the engine is cool* not hot.

The convoluted routing of the heater core hoses makes it easy for the core to vapor lock when the coolant level gets a bit low.

Do you take these photos from the manuals yourself?

I had to take off my heater hoses and snake out the blockage of dex mud in mine. It was bad! I then put two hoses on the heater core and ran water though it from the garden hose. The amount of mud in there was another cause for concern and could have been a reason the orignial engine no longer works. Its a little bit of work but you will get your heat back if you make sure your system is cleaned or flushed out. Could be a good time to flush the entire system a few times, change the water pump and thermostat, get rid of the contamination so you can keep the car running properly and have some heat.
