New Camaro owner, had some questions.
Alright, so I bought a 2000 Camaro 3.8L V6 yesterday, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips or anything to recommend. I'm interested in upgrading the factory speakers and deck with my own system, but since I have t-tops I dont know where I could put a subwoofer if i wanted to remove the top and store them in the back, if anyone else ran into this situation with their camaro and figured out a solution, like i was thinking possibly above the left rear wheel well, there is a concave there. If anyone got a system and figured out a good place to put it, please let me know, thanks.

I don't know. There isn;t much room back there. I know someone who removed the rear seat and used that space. If you do that though it would be more prone to theft and you wouldn;t have the back seat. If you use that small cavity on the left side hatch area would it get enough cooling ?

Go for HD Radio, you'll love it, I added the JVC KD-HDR1 (and Scosche OEA-4 C4GM02 adapter to take advantage of the Bose Amp) to my '95 3.4L...
This JVC model is very inexpensive on eBay ~$100, and sounds great with the Bose Amp already in the car (you HAVE to get the Scoche adapter if you have Bose), also get a factory connector to your wiring harness -- makes it SO much easier/nicer and cleaner, and you can easily put back the OEM deck if you want.

I was also wondering, its an AT and with the gears I have the choice between the overdrive or reg. drive, i've been driving in the OD gear just because of it being right after the neutral gear. If I could get any advantages or disadvantages to driving in either or both that'd be great, just dont know which one is better for my car.

Use the OD. Its a no brainer. Lower RPM's mean better gas mileage, less engine wear, and you still have the lower gears available using your right foot. I live in very hilly country and do not see a lot of extra shifting.
