Default Lucas Transmission Fluid

Has anyone tried that Lucas Transmission fluid? Does it even work?

  • Stops automatic transmission slip
  • Cleans and lubricates sticking valves for smoother shifting
  • Stops leakage around seals
  • Extends fluid life up to 3x
  • Extends the life of your transmission substantially
  • Protects your transmission under all severe service applications

idk about the tranny fluid but I have seen where the oil additive foams up on the differnt car shows on tv . Each their own I suppose .
I do know that the oil additive stuff from Lucas helped me unload a pecking monte carlo , quieted it right down long enough to trade it.

Just sayin its good for that I know for sure.

As far as the claims it makes I am reminded of two things .

1. If it sounds too good it is.
2. Anybody can claim to do or be anything that dont necassarily make it so.
An example of that would be that " tornado " thing from a couple years ago that claimed to boost mpg and hp all by swirling the air intake.

Oh and about lucas trany additive ive seen it work and then ive seen it not if your automagic is sliping id look into a rebuild or another tranny. But *** to adding to oil its never a good idea it doesnt fix the problem at some point and time itll go eitherway!

I bought a high top conversion van a few years back. It drove well for about 3 or 4 thousand miles. Then the tranny just quite. I found a empty bottle of Lucas Transmission oil hidden down in between the battery and the inner fender. I guess it worked good enough for the PO to unload it too!

LOL! No, I bought a horse once that was "broke and kid riden". Three counties over, I finally caught it! I don't know what drugs they used but they sure did the trick!

I tried it on a girlfriends car, didn't help the slipping much. Now the car sits at the bottom of her drive rotting away. ha. SO I would say it might help bandage minimal problems but its not a permanent fix.
