Default Lower intake wasn't torqued

Hey i bought a 99 Camaro for about 500 bucks, and the gaskets needed changing due to milky oil. Once i took out the lower intake the head bolts were tightened to maybe 5-10 pounds. Could this have been the mixing problem or should i go ahead and do the heads as well? Just wanna know may end up doing the heads as a precaution

yes lower intake is common fail point allowing coolant into the oil, original factory gaskets didn't last well. if you got antifreeze in the oil and it was run to operating temp odds are your bearings are all going to go in the near future. the mix of antifreeze and oil at high temp mix to an acid and it eats the bearings. you may be better off finding a used 3.8 and putting it in her. they are a common engine and should be available for 4-7 hundred bucks for low miles good engine. many front drive 3.8s will work, I used a 06 series 3 from a Buick.
