Default L67 heads

ok i know new heads arent exactly the first thing when modding a car, but i want to know that its possible, has anyone done this before? ive been actively searching for l67 parts from numerous sources, but its slow going. So far it looks like ill just have to buy the heads outright from ZZ performance (when the time comes, of course) anyone know of any? or atleast know of a good place to find wrecked anything with an l67?

Are you looking to put the GTP blower on it? I guess I'm not sure what you're wanting, so I'm not sure where to steer you.

Actualllyy i was looking at 3800 performance.com and they have the cartuning turbo that claims to make 296whp on a stock l36 and ive been told that l67 heads were different from l36 heads in that they had better flow ect ect. and yes i understand that the turbo is not available for v6 camaros/firebirds yet, but i hope to have my engine ready for a poweradder by the time this one comes available, just to keep my options open.

FYI, the L67 heads are also different in respect to the injectors. L67 has them mounted in the head I believe, whereas the L36 has them mounted in the intake manifold. This means a new lower intake manifold would be in order. I'm unsure of if a L67 lower intake manifold will mate up to L36 upper intake manifold.

why not just get your old heads ported and cleaned and then install a set of SLP roller rockers and replace the ness. items (with that i think you have to replace your cam and your balancer shaft.) might be cheapier, i got my SLP rollers for about 475.00, stay away from ZZPerformance.com, i had a friend that had a monte carlo that went through him and it was just a really bad experience. stick with 3800performance.com, texasspeed.com and instenseracing.com

I've never had a problem with zzperformance. Everything I've ordered has been at my door within 5-6 days. You can get roller rockers for cheaper than that also. My 1.9 RR came with new pushrods also for $399, though I ended up going with new springs and retainers as well.

I'm glad work pays for school out here. Though I've never taken advantage of it yet. Someday I will start...
