Default Le2 vs. Trickflow 185 lt1 heads

The flow numbers I have found say that the LE2 heads flow 275 int/190 exh.. The trickflow 185cc 21 degree heads claim to flow about 273int/207 exh.. Both of these are at a .600 lift. The LE2's intake ports are 205cc's and the trickflow like I said are 185cc, but they flow VERY close on the intake and supposedly better on the exhaust. So does this mean trickflow is the better head? I heard that if you make the same HP on different heads the one with the smaller intake ports is the way to go. Someone enlighten me on this. Does it have something to do with velocity being greater in the smaller intake ports?

i believe your right. at least the way i understand it a larger exhaust port can slow the flow if it effects the scavenging negatively. le2 ftw

I would think that the smaller intake runners would create more torque if the same cfm of flow is achieved. So if this and what i was talking about before is true, trickflow has created one hell of a head assuming that they are set up to run a healthy cam. Again remember that they have the smaller intake runners, but that being said there is a reason that the le2 has larger intake runners. My guess is for a different torque and Hp curve. Both the trickflow and the Le2 show good numbers. The larger intake ports on the Le2's are most likely for a higher rpm range. Im not sure of the exhaust pot sizes on these heads but these heads are probably both capable of making a hell of a top end.
