Hello everyone. This site is great. I tried the search function with no answer to this ?.

From a stand still, if you gass it there is a load bang under the console. Tomorrow I plan to take it to a buddies lift. I'd like some info to start with if you guys and girls have any.
I think it may be a trany mount, or maybe the u joint is out.

Just FYI on my back ground of knownledge. I'm still learning as I go, but this is where I am on another home project.

If you have it in gear when you gun it, sounds like a transmission mount that bolts to the side. Just something to look for.

 

It was the rubber mount. At some point 1 of the 2 bolts that attaches the rubber mount to the tany had fallen out. This then made the mount brake on the other side. This was causing the load bang when you gassed it. The tranny was completely loose. It was $55 bucks for a new mount, or you could weld the broken peices back together. We welded the pieces back together. I few burn outs later and all was good.
