Default Internal Dash Panel

My camaro is experiencing electrical problems including lack of speedometer(needle doesnt move at all) and what seems like a short in the windshield wipers. (they stall or just dont work)
This only recently started happening after i replaced the engine.
The dealership said it was a short in the internal dash panel, ive never heard of one of those, or is that just a fancy name for the gauge cluster?
Thanx for and help

there are alot of wires running behind the cluster, probably something grounding out in there IF that is the problem

i took it apart and found power wires have power and all grounds are grounded properly. So is the "internal dash panel" a cluster? because i could replace it easily i have an extra.

it may be the cluster itself but i really cant think of any way for this to affect your wipers, unless your wiper motors are just going out, in which case you have 2 problems, not 1.

if the cluster just breaks that can cause a needle not to move.
you would want to get this tested to make sure its nota bad signal coming into the cluster as opposed to a bad cluster itself
