I'm putting my car back together from the headgasket. I'm now going to put on the exhaust manifolds and it looks like there was never a gasket on them (at least the kind I purchased). In the autozone repair online guide it shows an exploded view of the exhaust manifolds ( http://econtent.autozone.com:24991/z...52800b8508.gif ). It says that the metal piece in between the manifold and the head is the gasket. I bought some normal type of gaskets from autozone but I can't tell if they would go in between this metal gasket and the head or in between the manifold and the metal gasket. Maybe I don't need these type of gaskets but I'm not sure. Any help is appreciated.

 

there should be only one gasket per exhaust manifold, and the thin sheet metal like piece is a gasket just a ****ty one. but i would suggest only using the new gaskets one per side.
