IMO the battery died, probably because the alternator died, or you got some loose cables. Get the battery tested. if OK get the alternator tested.

The only thing is that radio and headlights still work fine just when you turn on the ignition key nothing happens the running lights don't come either when you turn the ignition key on and they use to. Also I did smell like something burned inside but i'll check the battery and alternator just to be sure .Thanks

Did it drop from 13 to 5 nearly instantly or did it take a short period of time?

If instantly, I'd say a lose/bad battery cable or (less likely) ignition switch wire

If it slowly drained down over like 30 minutes then I'd say drained (probably now bad) battery caused by a bad alternator.

Easiest way to narrow it down between bat/alt or bad wire/cable would be to have someone try and jumpstart you. If you can start the car and have no problem as long as you're hooked up to their car then I'd say it's not a wiring issue. If you're still having the problems then your wiring is bad.

Could be your battery is dying, bad alternator, bad wiring, bad starter/solenoid, bad ignition switch.

You can test the power going to the starter at the starter to see if the juice is making it. I believe Autozone will test your starter (not sure if it is free).
