Default i have NO idea...

ok guys im new to this forum i have a 95' 3.4l i bought a few months ago it was in an accident it sat for awhile and i threw a new battery and the car started right up and ran great since. anyways i went to replace the whole dashboard and airbags and my friend was helping me and in midst of piecing the whole thing back together he touched a wire into a wire harness for the trunk opener in the glove compartment, and i heard a fuse blow, it was the power accessory fuse and i replaced it all fuses looked good, i plugged in the ecu and all other stuff and the cluster, first, when i turn the key my dome light doesnt come on then and i tried starting the car and NOT EVEN a crank.... >, and tonight i tried toying with the aftermarket alarm thinking it could be that, i unplugged it and tried that and now no lights at all, i tried jumping it and still no crank yet when i unplug the jumper cables from my other car there are no lights so now its like my new battery doesnt even work....guys i need help because im close to finishing repairing this car and i have someone looking to buy it and i got to get it started!!! thanks in advance any advice or help is greatly appreciated...

You checked all the fuses? Even the ones under the hood? And how about where the burnt fuse was, did you check the plug itself? If it's somehow burned up...I've seen it happen, then putting in a fresh fuse might not help. I'm speaking from a general stand point, the only 'maro I've worked on was a friends 3.8L so I can't say anything for sure on regards to the 3.4L.

Hopefully someone more 3.4 knowledgeable will come along...if nothing else I'll bump your question. Good luck.

You definately have electrical issues. Sounds to me like you didn't unhook the battery when you put the dash back together. Check the relays behind the dash and under the hood, good chance one of those blew.

Check the fuse links as well that are coming from the battery. Could have fried one of those.

Hmm... there are a couple of plugs behind the passenger's kick pannel. I forgot to plug these back in when I did my engine swap and my simptoms where the same as yours. Give that a look.
