Default i have a budget, need some mods...

im thinkin about getting a 98 and up camaro V6 5 speed, im goin to instal flowmaster exhaust on it and i need help on deciding on what other performance mods i need for it to make the car somewhat sound like a V8, i have a slight budget so i cant spend thousands of dollars on mods, but id like to have somethin that lets pple know i dont have a stock car, not lookin for extreme speed, just somethin that sounds really good and has some gitty up when i need it, does anyone have anyone have any ideas and what the round about cost would be thnx for any help

Well, for one, flowmasters wont make it sound like a V8, your gona sound like a ricer man! Your better off getting some haeders. thoes will cost you around 4-$500. Or if thats too much you could get a cold air intake. That cost about $150, but doesnt do much, 10 horses at the most.

i agree stay the hell away from the flowmaster series duals for this car, i have the set of 80 series dual flowmaster exhaust on my 3.4 and it sounds like ****. everyone is sayin go with the magna flow. but as far as headers costing about 4-500 check this site out http://ftpp.net/V6Main.htm this is a site with tons of mods for the 3.4. fairly inexpensive considering. there are full kits of headers on there, catback systems. also shop around i have done a ton of research on this car bc im lookin to get a bit more power out of my little 3.4 and also regain stock power, i might have a dead cylinder (i drive it like its an 8). type in ur search bar gm 3.4 v6 engine should get tons of results or gm 3.4 v6 performance parts. also i have found that www.summitracing.com has some parts for this car. hope this helps.

3.4's sound like **** period...my 3800 w/ flowmaster sounds bad...

MODS TO DO: Cold Air Intake (ebay $75), Pacesetter Headers ($210 Texas Speed.com), Flowmaster 80 Series ($100) after those go into underdrive pulleys ($60), thermostat ($10), jet chip, MSD Coilpack/wires($125/$75), and then get ready to dish up the big bucks for turbo

If you are going to buy a v6 and spend a bunch of money to get more power, why not add the money to the cost of the car and get a V8 right off the get go. You will have a much happier and reliable car that will outperform the modded V6.
