A fuel pump isn't that expensive. , i bought my camaro for 2800, 3.4L V6 94 with 67k miles. It needs Front struts soon, A new main seal, A/C Compressor, I'll probably have motor mount and u-joints by early next year. Really, not that expensive. They are roughly between $400-$500. You must be laoded then, or have no clue.

400-500 they are 200 at autozone or if you want you can go with a walbro performance pump for 100-150

I got it cheap. When I bought it, it wasn't very nice at all lol. When I got it... Yeah I got what I paid for.
