my camaro a 01 makes the same noise,every once in awhile i will get a steady electric hum coming from the trunk area,but mine has been doing it since maybe a week after i bought the car brand new,never gave me any problems other than a slightly annoying noise on occaision,sometimes it wont happen for months then all of a sudden...there it is again

 

Sounds like the fuel pump.

 

thats how it is it will do it for a few days then i won't hear it for a week or so it only seems to be when the car is warm that it does it so i don't know thank you guys a lot
