Default Help.Reduced Engine Power Light

I have a 2001 v6Camaro with an automatic transmission and 35,000 miles. I was driving home tonight and noticed my Service Engine Soon light was on, not flashing but just on. I also noticed that it wasn't shifting normal. It would shift hard into 3rd gear. Not long afterthatthe Reduced Engine Power light came on. Suddenly the car lost power and there was no response when I hit the gas. I pulled off the road and turned the car off and waited 5 minutes. I started it up again and drove it home with the Service Engine Soon light on without any other problems with the Reduced Engine Power light or actually losing power driving the car. Does anybody have any idea what would cause this to happen?

Do exactly what the light is telling you to do. Get the car scanned & find out what it is complaining about.

That's why women come and go, but a good ride gets restored.

Get it scanned, the reduced engine power might be the computers "limp" mode when something is really bad it will cut power where u can get it to a shop without messing up something.
