Fuel Pump
#11
Well i installed a brand new, non-adjustable fpr on my car the other day (it is kind of a pain in the *** btw) to no avail. The car still loses fuel pressure when you let it sit. So now I am on to preparing for fuel pump replacement. I am planning on a smaller shot of nitrous in the future, as long as i am replacing the pump is there anything I should look for in the new one? Or should i just go with a direct oem replacement?

Not meaning to dig up an old thread or anything, but I thought I would add this tidbit of information to prevent others from making the same mistake. When you remove the fuel rail...for whatever reason (like getting frustrated at the fpr valve facing backwards)....make sure that you dig the o rings out of the little bells and place them back on the injectors before you clip it all back down. Driving home last night the fuel rail separated itself from the injectors and left a two inch deep puddle of boiling fuel on top of my intake manifold. Luckily I got it pulled over and shut down before I became ghost rider a la camaro.
It was a noob mistake...and thats why im throwing it up here, might save another noobs car some day
It did also fix my leak down issue, turns out gas was seeping around one injector, releasing pressure.
