Default fram oil filter

i changed the oil on my "new" camaro and now theres no oil pressure when its warm, its at 65 when its cold but when it warms up its at 0, i recently read that fram oil filters cause this, if thats it then can i just change the filter to a wix or somthing?

and im certain the oil in there was 10w 40 before i changed it

i never had any issues running fram filters for years. i did get a rod knock after changing the oil on my 305 and used a fram filter, but the car already had issues and i was on it kinda hard. i recently switched to all mobil 1 filters, and have been using mobil clean 5000 for some time now. my pressure is about 5 psi less when warm, but also might just be the guage. id say change the filter alone and see what happens

I've never had a problem with fram but I also use the extreme guard filter for synthetic oils. If you just changed it you can switch out the filters but have extra oil and do it fast as oil will start pouring out.

I dont use the Fram ExtraGuard (orange ones) they are junk. The Fram ToughGuard (gray ones) are pretty good. My personal preference is Wix.

Ya wix is one of the best out there. Ams oil filters are great too but a waste of money if not running with their oil aswell. 16,000-24,000 miles an oil change with the ams oil combo. Can't go wrong. And when it gets drained it's still golden. Unless the engine has built up sludge then it takes a few oil changes to clean up. Royal purple is the same. Only oils I use now and only using aims oil or wix filters. Cost a few bucks more but it's well spent.
