What year is your camaro? I have a 1998 v6 and I have been running a 180* thermostat since I got it and have never had an issue

its not that youll have an issue your car is designed to run a 195* stat so a 180* wont let your car run as efficient but with a tune you can set your car up for the 180* or 160*

and loosing efficiency isnt a good thing when your engine is like 30% or less

Ok. I am probably going to run a flowmaster cat-back exhaust or buy a borla muffler and tips and what is the best CAI out there? There is a lot to choose from but most people on here run the SLPs?? Are they the best?

With a 99 you would prolly get the best bang for the buck out of the SLP lid with the K&N filter in the factory housing and I believe the SLP lid gets rid of the stupid silencer. Just my $.02

Lol never heard that one before. I find that highly incorrect because it technically makes it MORE efficient other than the heater. The car itself can easily compensate for the cooler temperature itself. It doesn't actually change anything other than the fact you can run more timing.

SLP doesn't actually make a lid for the V6. You can make the V8 lid fit but it takes a little work or some drier ducting. Whisper lid is what you want though. 100% smooth air entry to the throttle body. You can also do the free ram air mod which will improve throttle response more than anything (pulls the cold air straight from in front of the radiator... It's like having a REAL cold air intake. Not these stupid claims of a CAI by some companies).

Best SOTP bang for the buck mod? GEARS. Your HP won't increase but you'll think it did.
