Hey guys well i just got done replacing head gaskets on the 3.8 and its all good. now i went ahead and redid the exhust system becuz i found out i was losing alot of power from the catalatic converter so i cut that out and put in a straight pipe for now. i also put in a thrush glass pack muffler on it too. where my problem comes in is that there is a sorta feel to the engine when thottle is aplied. it feels like its running rough. could the new custom exhust system do this ? or could it be somthing like the plugs? any one that has an idea is welcomed, thanks in advanced.

 

Give the car a good tune up first, plugs, wires, etc.. The new exhaust won't make the car run rough, noisy yes.

 

also the engine check light is on and i think that would have to be the emisions problem sense i took off that cat. is there any way i can bypass that or reset it to turn the light off? And also inorder to fire it up we had to put in two older plugs with the new ones cuz the two new ones broke and thats all we had to see if it would run. would that make the engine ride rough?

 

never mind guys fixed all problems and threw on the old flowmaster bak on and all is good thanks for ur help

 

Being that the SES lite is on, get the car scanned & see what it is complaining about. Much easier and cheaper than changing out parts based on a SWAG.
