Default Exhaust Questions

I've got a couple questions for you guys. Ever since I put a proper muffler on my car, if I hit the gas it's like the engine hesitates from 2k-3k rpm. (I'll try and post a video of this.) Anyway, I thought it might be the cat so I looked around tonight, and I'm wondering if someone messed with the exhaust before I got the car? These pictures aren't great, but hopefully you guys can tell me if it looks stock.

Dont give up yet! It seems slow on here anyway. I just joined last week and I get people are busy. Anyway, if it wasn't raining, I have 2 95's and I would take pics and let you compare but its pouring rain. I think one of mine may be stock but I know the one I drove primarily is much louder than the one my son drives so its probably not stock.

It hasn't even been a day yet, come on, have some paitanence. This is not an instant messaging chatroom, nor is any one here being paid to be here and answer questions.

That cat looks original to me as its welded on. I would say your cat might be clogged up.

It's all original. Try shacking your cat. If it ratels then it's time for a new one.

Yup that is not original. Somebody replaced that cat. There is a plate missing and you can tell somebody welded a new cat. It is not nearly as bad as the owner of my car did.

It was a joke guys. Lighten up.
As far as the cat goes, I just thought the factory ones were longer?
Is gutting it a bad idea?

idk what NC rules are, but you could perhaps just delete the cat. it will throw an O2 sensor code, but there's a way to use resistors to trick the sensor (you'll have to ask somebody else about it, idk how it works).

Looks like you have a resonator on the exhaust too! Get rid of that and put a straight pipe in. As for the cat, it looks stock. If NC doesn't require a cat for inspection then gut it. If not, get a Magnaflow high-flow cat from Ebay. I got one for $97.00.
