exhaust question
will a 3.8 sound better with the converter removed? or will it be crappy. i also heard you get more power with them removed because of the increase in airflow. i have an 80 series flowmaster on my camaro(i think, i know it's flowmaster).

RE: exhaust question
80's series is made for camaros so im sure thats what you have. But You cant really ask a question like that. Because Its all peoples opinions. My opinion is yes it keeps it restricted to a 3" pip instead of opening up to like 6" wid and 4" high.

RE: exhaust question
My opinion is no. It will sound like ****. I installed my 80 series system without a cat. It sounded so-so. The cat acts as a dampener. It takes the buzzing and popping out of the sound. After I installed the cat, it sounded MUCH better.
That, and it's one hell of a fine ($50,000.00) if the EPA ever catches on.

RE: exhaust question
haha. the area in which i live in kentucky is like a joke when it comes to law enforcement. doubt the huge fine. i probably won't do it though, i like how it sounds now, so i shouldn't change it i guess. it would be my luck that it would shound like crap. but i've heard the 3.4s with the 80 series and no converter, and they had a more deep rumbling sound to them. another quick question while still on this subject.is the increase in airflow from cutting the converter off really that noticeable?
