What about the heads?

I'm just getting into to messing with mine, and I thought I'd start with the exhaust, but the heads have me confused. I was shopping around for some headers and they start off at 1.5" - are the ports on the heads 1.5"? If so, why not bore them to two inches - if you can find (or make) headers to fit? Unless the stock heads won't support that.

That's just an idea I had, though, I'm not sure if it would be smart.

I am curious about the X or Y pipe though; if the gains are minimal at best, then I would think there's nothing wrong with the cheapest route. But if every horse counts...

As for the rest of the exhaust, Borla would be my first pick - but I don't have the money to drop, so I think I might go with Mag. I'll have to do some more research on that though.

 

mild 6ers just use the factory style y pipe design... other wise alot of work for little to no gain..
