Default Engine re-seal 3.8L Questions

Okay so I have spoken with several experianced Techs here in Santa Rosa, and the general consensus is that Re-sealing the engine Should take me (never dropped the engine before) 2 days of work (I have a Lift and a Hydraulic Engine hoist) but the question I have is exactly What to disconnect. I know to drop the trans and the drive shaft and that the engine will come out with the cradle, but I don't know what will have to be disconnected from the suspension, and once you disconnect the ECU what other connections will have to be removed. Any suggestions or links to Do-it-yourself sites would be appreciated.

What do you mean "resealing the engine" ? The factory way is to drop the engine and front suspension as a unit from the bottom. To do it their way, if you have a lift is to use a device that can get uder the engine cradle and lower the whole thing to the ground. You can also pull the engine from the top with a lot of wiggling. A simpler way is to put the front of the car up on stands, attach the engine hoist to the engine, disconnect everything that attaches the engine and front supension to the rest of the car an then lower the hoist.

Follow this thread and see some good pictures on how it is done
