Default Engine(?) making an odd noise

at about the 1900-2100 rpm range my 3.8 5m is making a weird constant clicking noise until i get above or below 1900-2100ish rpms, and the accelerator pedal also feels kind of like notchy

The gas pedal is a simple cable/lever. It should feel just about the same engine engine on or engine off. Most likely has nothing to do with noise. Do you have the clicking if you just rev the motor not in gear or when your driving or both? Is it louder going up hill or if you drive faster?

ok so its not just in that rpm range and its more of like a deep vibrating clunk in the engine that just gets worse after it hits 2000 rpm and only happens when the engine is warmed up

I agree with Gorn. My engine did the same thing to me and I knew it was the rod bearing after driving the car a 1/4 mile or so with no oil. New engine later no isues.

Set it up to see the RPM gauge and then do one with it propped up by the motor so we can get a better idea of what the noise sounds like for better determination of your issue.

Sounds like a thrown rod or engine bearing. Tough luck man. You need a new engine or rebuild.

well my car has stopped making the noise now, altho a different problem has shown up. when i go into 3rd gear itll stay at 1000rpm no matter the speed im going, the car will go faster but it wont rev up, get louder, and its not lugging down its like idling. but it doesnt happen everytime. i think were just gonna take it to a legit shop
