Default Engine locked or not :o HELP

Okay, so i recently replaced my starter, because i thought my starter was bad. turns out. starter was bad. So i replaced it, and now that it's in, the car still won't start. It's a 93 v6 camaro. when it tries to crank, i get the 1 click sound of the starter, and the flywheel jumps about 1/2 inch to an inch, and goes right back to where it was. Does this mean that my engines locked up?

Can you turn the engine over by hand? What makes you think it could be locked up, did something happen? How is the coolant level? If it's way down, an internal coolant leak into a cylinder causing hydro-lock is a possibility. If you can't get it to budge by hand, you might want to pull the plugs and try again, then with the starter. You'll see a fountain come out of a spark plug hole if it's hydro-locked. Also make sure the starter is meshing with the flywheel gear, and not smacking into the side of it instead.

Well I ripped the engine out Friday. turns out i completely shattered a piston. and snapped the connector rod. there were chunks of the piston all over. made it to the exhaust manifold and inside of it. i striped the block completely and that one piston well is a bit scraped up now. What should i do? i'm thinking either trying to possibly get it resleeved if thats possible? or bore it out?

Nice deal. Also you'd need alot more and I mean alot more then just the tranny to put an ls1 or lt 1 in your car. good luck with the swap. Also howd you destroy a piston so bad? And pics would be sweet as well.

I'm gonna get the camera out tomorrow probably and get some shots of it. But long story. Basically my car has been sitting for a while. My dad gave it to his friend before the previous engine locked up and his friend set it on his shop lot. The city told him that he couldn't keep any cars on the lot. so my dad got it back from him. his friend put a junkyard engine of right about 40k miles. The guy put also a heater core, and shocks on it. Got the car back for only $1400!!!(amazing deal!)

SO.. While i was a stupid kid, i took the car out with only a permit and little knowledge of cars and driving them. I took it for a ride around the neighborhood and i wasn't paying attention, and i sadly ran over a sewer cause there was a car coming the opposite direction while i was doing about 60 mph. so i threw it left real quick to another street, and ran the into that sewer. Sewer lifted the engine(which i didn't know until about a year or two of it sitting in my driveway) it put a huge dent in the oil pan, I'm guessing it lifted so high and dented so deep it shattered the piston, after that i started get a really weird knocking. So after giving it about 2 years i started working on it after going to school for auto motives and learning. tore the engine completely down to the block Friday. and found pieces of the piston EVERYWHERE! in the intake(which idk how they got there?) there were some pieces in other pistons. lol. I just wish i wasn't a retarded kid a few years back. I could have had it built 2 years ago, now I'm 18 years old, starting from scratch, with very little money.

But i'll for sure have some pictures up of it sometime this week. It's been a dream to build a 93` camaro since its the same year i was born + it's the first model of its generation. It just has quite a bit of work to do!
