No way can a 3.8 Camaro beat a 4.6 Stang GT - I'm calling complete BS lol.

3.8 Camaro - 200hp, 225tq, curb weight = 3306lbs
4.6 OHC Stang (GT) - 260hp, 302tq, curb weight = 3077
4.6 DOHC Stang (GT) - 300hp, 300tq, curb weight = 3077

No matter which GT you raced, there is .08 liters in difference and 229lbs in difference. The Mustang GT is really not a fast car, compared to a lot of what is out there, unless you have mods and a supercharged cobra which has 390hp on it's dohc motor. When you look at our SS/Z28, we blow the "plain jane" stang GT out of the water. BUT, our V6, even though it's a good car, is not a Stang eater like it's SS and Z28 models.

 

Ive out ran a 94 mustang GT witha AT. and was close to a five speed bout side by side.

As a matter of fact, just the other day, I saw a brand new ferrari pull up next to me and I SMOKED him with my 3.8 camaro lol

 

dude i have a video clip on my cell phone of me beating a stang GT (4.6 ) and u cant compare a ferrari's 2 a stang GT .But i dont no how to post it on this website. it is possible though to beat a stang GT

Whats a stock v6 camaro usally run? I have an 02 auto GT and my best run yet is a 14.5, i know its not close to the ls1 but i thought we were faster than the v6 camaros? Oh ya Im stock

 

well i was speaking of the 90's models not he 00's + I have yet to run a 00+ GT.

 

the 98-2002 V6 3.8 liters bone stock run like 15.8 in the quarter. Or some thing REALLY close to that

 

You also have to rember the 4.6 liter in the Gt didnt get the Pi head swap till 2000 i belive which is like a additonal 25-30 hp but basicly brings it to the 260 hp 310 pounds of tourqe at the crank less at the wheels.

 

Yea I hear ya on that one ...I own (well now selling) my 03' Eclipse GTS, but I also have a 95 Camaro ...We've raced them before, and the Eclipse always wins ...its sad too because as much as I love my eclipse, I adore the Camaro...and will be fully taking over the Camaro as soon as I can sell my other car ...I'd like to do a few mod's to it ...everyones saying exhaust, and intake? Does anyone have a website I could look at for exhaust choices for the Camaro?, and any other mod's? ...right now all I've upgraded are the floor mats, and I have yet to see a HP gain from them Thanks
