Hate to tell you, but burn outs are not good for the car, and are not good for acceleration either. But if you want to lessen the stress, go with skinny tires and high tire pressure. If you have a manual tranny don't dump the clutch as it will make things break.

just about the only way to get our v6's to burn out is to dump the clutch. but seeing as how that is hard on the car i usually punch it and turn the wheels hard to the right to get it going instead of dumping the clutch.

my 3.8 will burn out without a problem,i can take off from a dead stop, hit it about half a pedal and it will lay down some rubber,if i stay in it it will even catch 2nd gear for a decent squel on occaision,i havent modded it a great deal at all other than a flowmaster cat backsystem and a CAI its stock, but has aleays had plenty of power, well until recently,i though my motor was going out because i had lost power and had a clicking noise, turned out to be a bad injector, everything is fine again. but if you want to do burn out try powerbraking it...not a good idea but it should smoke the tires

mine lites them up really good even with 9.5inch tires in the back, i just let the clutch out slow so it's rolling without stalling then step on the gas and it'll spin for a good 5 seconds at 4grand RPMs, and then i usually jus push clutch back in and let off gas, dont bother switching into 2nd. doesnt even squeal or smoke =) just hear nice tunneling sound and roar of engine
