E85 in my 3.4 camaro
I wouldnt run it in a stock vehical that wasnt designed for it there would be no up side it would produce less milage and more that likly less performance. That being said I wish we had it available around our area I would definatly give it a go. There are more and more plants going in to produce ethanol and alot more stations selling it. The fuel has less caloric value than gas but a higher octane rating meaning you need to run more to get the same energy as gasoline but with the higher octane rating and being an oxygenated fuel I feel it has alot of advantage. I would bet if you built a engine specifically to run it the engine would produce more power at a cheaper at the pump cost than the other pump gas options.............
I just saw a thing on the news where Formula One cars are running E-85, Didn't say if it was going to be a long term thing but they are using it for several races I think. Hope this isn't old news already, first time I had seen it.
Yea, do you realize how much water it takes to make the stuff?
Engine's don't hold up as well either...
