defroster

Default defroster

Question for you all. Does anyone else not have a rear window defroster in there car. I bought my car not thinking that it would not have one in it, but come to find out it does not. do those kits have you can get and install on your own work well or is there somthing else i should be looking for?

never heard of one not coming with it, must be a replacement window.

thats what i thought to but i dont even have the switch on the climate cluster

it should be to the right side of the steering wheel, not in the cluster, but if you still dont have it, either go without it(shouldnt be to hard to just use side mirrors, i have to do in ION[:@]) or take it to someone, usually a tinter will do it, i dont know where you'd hook wires up tho. a toggle switch mite look a little gawdy too.

yeah mine didnt come with one either. also im missing the switch as well.

I don't have one either, or a switch. I can't believe they actually made a car with such a gigantic rear window without them.

What kit are you talking about?

Call anaftermarket A/C installer and they should be able to help you out. They will lay down the line grids that will come on a paper decal type thing then hook up two wires. One will go to the ground, and the other will go to a relay switch. You might want to check out junk yards or Eckler's Camaro for the factory defogger relay switch to make it look cleaner.

didnt know that, but figured thats where'd you'd wanna look anyway, i didnt know thats what that switch was on mine till about a month after owning it, it was away from everything else, and when i used it(summer time) it didnt do anything(summer time...lol)[8D]

im my defense, he didnt specify yearhah!
