Dash Lights out

Default Dash Lights out

So i put in a head unit in my camaro and now my dash lights wont turn in a all. i tryed hooking the dash illumination wire to one of my accessory wires but nothing happened. i dont know what to do. the fuse on the side of the dash is fine

Either you blew a fuse or you fried the resistor for the dash lights on your headlight switch. Or your lights have been dimmed all the way down.

well i checked the fuse on the side of the dash and it was fine. how do i check the resistor? is there any other fuses?

Fixed that for ya

And no there aren't any other fuses.

i had the same thing happen to my car it is a fuse i missed it like 3 times its a 5 amp on the side of the dash towards the middle of the fuse box

Okay. Thank you I changed the fuse and they work now. Would it hurt to put a 10 amp in to prevent it from blowing in the future?

yes if something happens again you could fry some wires and possibly start a fire
