Default Crank Pulley

Is there a way to remove the crank pulley without removing the starter and the lower bellhousing cover plate?

i assume its a 98 but what motor? im not sure why you would need to remove the starter unless it needs to come off to get the cover off. it is best to use the flywheel to stop the crankshaft from turning so flywheel cover would need to come off. its one of the only ways to keep the motor from turning over when you remove the bolts

not really, you really have to get a good grip on the flywheel to even have a chance a breaking the crank bolt loses.

I broke all mine loose without any of that. You have to shock them loose otherwise you'll turn over the engine. An impact would zip them off too if you have access to one.

Also I keep seeing that the crank pulley is held on by a tty bolt. Should tgat be available at any auto store?

What's the point of a TTY bolt anyways? I know what it means but why use them if you have to replace them? Seems like a stupid design.
