cooling problem

You may have to bleed it a couple times to get all the air out. Also, make sure you have coolant in the overfill tank so it will not suck in air as it heats and cools. I think I would get the dye test kit or pressure test before tearing into the heads just to make sure. Any chance you got some oil in the system when you did the intake gaskets?

It stopped leaking externally so I did not end up doing the intakes, bad me I have the fel pro parts, could the intakes cause the oil?........1SG

Possible but if you are going to be doing the intake and you are the least bit suspect of the head gaskets, you are already 80% there, might as well spend a few more dollars and get the heads checked and replace the head gaskets and head bolts as well.
