Exclamation Cooling fan issue, running out of ideas

All,

The fan on my son's 3.4 V6 Camaro is not kicking on at 226 degrees. Here is what I have done so far:

  • Tested fan by turning on A/C and it kicks on immediately
  • Tested Cooling Fan Relay
  • Replaced ECT Sender behind the Power Steering Pump
  • Replaced Coolant Temp Sensor on Intake
  • Running a new 180 degree thermostat
  • Purged the system of air

The temp gauge reads just below the red area before I go and turn the A/C on to get the fan going. What am I missing here? Your help is appreciated.

my only guess is that the gauge isn't entirely accurate. you might hook up a scanner to see what it's really reading

So there is one that is in addition to the one in the side of the block behind the power steering pump? Where is this third sensor at? I did not mention that it takes a good 20 minutes of idling before it starts to get too hot.
