Default Coolant and heater hose questions.

So my heater hoses look sketchy as heck. One is held on by a zip tie!

Looking on eBay it appears they don't make these fittings any more?
Is this the kit I'd need? https://www.ebay.com/itm/95-02-3-8L-...YAAOSw-zxWpr0Z
im not sure if I want to cut off the rubber hoses and reuse my metal tubing or just buy a whole new assembly. Has anybody just eliminated the metal tubes And ran rubber hose all the way?

Now the coolant. It says to use dexcool, but I've read recently that as long as you flush it you can use green antifreeze. I've already got green in it (I just bought the car). Dexcool is orange, right?
This is my only newer GM vehicle and I'd like to run the same universal green ELC that I run in everything else, would that cause a problem?

GM has not made those parts in a very long time. I remember not being able to find them in 2008.

I have found the assembly its expensive or it was. yes you can use the green stuff so long as all the orange stuff is flushed out. if mixed under heat it turns to jello kind of crud. that kit does look like it would work.

I found a guy selling a kit on eBay for $44 that does away with the tubing and just uses rubber hose. It seems like that'd make improvised roadside repairs easier down the road. Is there any reason to keep the whole metal tube assembly?
