I was looking at my Friends Z28 and his SLP cold air to see just how it was put together. I really couldn't see it that good And was wondering if anyone had some dimensions for them. I would like to try a make one in shop class rather than pay that much for one cause the cash don't come so easy from working after school. lol. Also the way it looks, won't it cut air to the radiator off?

To my knowledge, our cold air intakes are different than the V8s. And making one on your own probably would not give you the same specs and gains as the K&N because they use certain materials and bends, etc.

The price does suck, though. $320.00 for 6.89 hp.

 

Yeah thats what I was thinking. I geuss I'll keep looking around, maybe I can find a good deal some where.

 

check on ebay. the cold air systems there are like $75 or less. thats where i got mine with k&n cone filter. it works great.
