Few days ago the "change oil" light came on so of course..I changed the oil, I just recently purchased the car so I figured it to be a good idea anyways..after changing the oil i disconnected the battery but the light still shows for about 1 minute after starting the car...how do i reset that? It's a 2000 3.8 v6, the trip reset also says trip/oil reset..I assume this has something to do with it but how?

 

Check your manual -- you have to push and hold the trip odometer button until the light blinks.

 

i would actually love to check my manual...but i dont have one haha ..the car didnt come with one and i havnt gotten around to picking one up yet..but thanks for the help.
